TOMONAGA NAMED PRESIDENT OF U-FREIGHT JAPAN

Following the recent strengthening of its sales team, U-Freight Japan has appointed Mr Shuji Tomonaga as its new president.

Mr Tomonaga joined U-Freight Japan in 1998 and has held various positions within the company including, most recently, Executive Sales Officer. He has 30 years experience within the transportation industry.

Simon Wong, CEO of the U-Freight Group comments:"The promotion of Shuji Tomonaga is an important step in the ongoing development of our activities in Japan. His sales experience and knowledge of the marketplace will be a great asset to us as we strive to increase our presence in this competitive market."

U-Freight offers the full range of air and sea freight logistics operations throughout its network in Japan, which incorporates three offices in Tokyo, and others in Osaka and Fukuoka.

While airfreight still accounts for a significant proportion of U-Freight's business in Japan, it also offers freight forwarding services in association with H&C Shipping, the company's dedicated ocean freight associate in Japan. Some of the key commodities handled are electronic goods, textiles and machinery.
