With a strong presence and a network of offices and logistics hubs across China, the U-Freight Group notes that the logistics market index, which measures the performance of the country’s logistics market, rose by 5.4% from February, reaching 55.5% in March 2023, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, continuing the market’s steady growth.

The sub-index for business activity expectations reached 58.1% in March, expanding for the fourth consecutive month. The increase in the logistics market performance index suggests that logistics companies in China are optimistic about the future development of the sector.

The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing added that In 2022, logistics for industrial products in China increased by 3.6% year-on-year (YoY). Additionally, the logistics industry’s total revenues rose by 4.7% YoY to USD1.905 trillion (12.7 trillion yuan) in the same year.

According to the federation, the country’s top 50 logistics companies registered nearly RMB2 trillion in revenue in 2022, while new internationally competitive enterprises have emerged.
